Someone who phoned a business we answer for
Verbal opt-inWhere the call to action appears
The customer dials a phone number published on the website and Google Business Profile of a local business that uses AIVI. AIVI answers that line on the business's behalf. Because the customer places the call, there is no web form in this path — the invitation to opt in is spoken, at the end of the call, and only after their enquiry has been handled.
What the caller hears, word for word
“Before you go — can I text you a confirmation? You’ll get one message from AIVI about this appointment for [Business Name]. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. Is that okay?”
What counts as consent
- Agreement
- An explicit yes. If the caller declines, hesitates without answering, or the answer is unclear, no message is sent and nothing is recorded as consent.
- Number used
- Only the number the caller dialled in from, or a number they state themselves during the call. Never a number obtained any other way.
- Record kept
- The question and the caller's answer are transcribed and stored with the date, time and the caller's number, and retained for four years.
- What is sent
- One message, immediately after the call ends.
